I Corp - 56th Army Band

The 56th Army Band brings 50 of the best musicians in the Pacific Northwest with their BIG BAND SOUND to the Plaza at Summit Central.  Come and enjoy the music of Glenn Miller, Americana music and more from this award winning band.

The I Corps Band was constituted on 12 October 1943 and activated in Sicily on 29 October 1943 as the Band, 9th Infantry Division. The Band’s distinguished history includes 13 campaign participation credits for World War II and Vietnam. The Band received many decorations; most notable is the Meritorious Unit Commendation awarded by Presidential Order in 1968.
